Michael stepped forward, a formulaic, gentle smile on his face.
"Governor Azazel, this is Lord Zhou Ye, the supreme being who now governs Heaven. Lord Zhou Ye hopes to resolve the incident caused by Kirkbor peacefully, which is why he facilitated this meeting."
"Ha!"
Azazel chuckled twice and scratched his messy black hair.
"Peaceful resolution? Michael, do you even believe that yourself? The guy who turned Heaven upside down is sitting right behind you, and you call that peace?"
His words drew the attention of all the unsuspecting demons and fallen angels present to Zhou Ye.
Rias and Akeno Himejima exchanged a glance, both sensing a hint of pride in each other's reactions.
Look, this is the man we've set our sights on.
Zhou Ye didn't even lift his eyelids.
He simply extended a finger and gently drew circles on the tabletop, seemingly studying the grain of the wood, finding it far more interesting than listening to their argument.
This feeling of being completely ignored made Azazel's brow twitch violently.
Damn it, this kid is even more arrogant than me!
"cough."
Sazex cleared his throat and steered the conversation back on track.
“Azazel, now that all three sides are present, let’s first discuss the issue of Kirkbor. His actions have severely disrupted the fragile balance between the three races, and we demons believe that he must be punished in the most severe way.”
"I second that," Seraphrudore said succinctly.
“That guy was my former subordinate. I’m really sorry for causing you so much trouble.” Azazel shrugged. “Once you hand him over to me, I’ll lock him up in the deepest part of hell and let him reflect on his actions for thousands of years.”
Just as they were arguing about Kirkbor's "fate," Zhou Ye finally stopped drawing circles.
He looked up and glanced at Azazel.
"no need."
Two words, light and airy, instantly silenced the entire conference room.
"Kokbor is dead."
"What?" Azazel was stunned.
“I killed him.” Zhou Ye’s tone was as calm as if he were saying, “I ate rice for lunch today.” “He wanted to start a war, so I crushed him and his ideas. It’s that simple.”
Azazel opened his mouth, but couldn't utter a single word.
Behind him, Wali's face grew even more fervent; he could sense that Zhou Ye was telling the truth.
That nonchalant attitude of casually annihilating the existence of a ten-winged seraph is what's truly terrifying!
At this moment when the atmosphere froze to freezing point.
hum-
The whole world suddenly lost its color.
The vibrant black tea, the golden hair, the emerald green leaves—everything was stripped of its color in an instant, turning into a monotonous, lifeless gray.
Time seemed to be frozen at this moment.
"This is!"
Sazex's pupils contracted.
Rias also stood up abruptly, her face showing undisguised shock and understanding.
"Gaspar's artifact... the Evil Eye that Stops the World!"
They all turned to look at Zhou Ye.
The "performance" has begun!
Asahiel, Baichu, and the others instantly entered battle mode.
"An enemy! This is a time-stopping ability! What a powerful artifact!"
Asahiel's expression was more solemn than ever before.
To be able to cover the entire space with both Sazex and him present is something that no ordinary attacker could do!
However, the next second, he discovered something even stranger.
On the demon side, aside from their initial surprise, they now all have an expression of watching a good show.
On the other side, things were even more absurd. Zhou Ye even yawned, while Michael and Gabriel didn't move an inch.
what the hell?
We were attacked, how come you are more calm than the attackers?
Just as Azazel was filled with questions...
In the center of the conference room, a magnificent purple magic circle suddenly lit up.
A voluptuous, scantily clad, black-haired female demon emerged from within, accompanied by an extremely arrogant laugh.
She is a descendant of the old demon king Leviathan, Cadileya Leviathan.
"Hahahahahaha!"
Her laughter, sharp and piercing, echoed in this gray world.
"Look what I've found! A bunch of traitors holding a ridiculous peace meeting here?"
Kadileya spread her arms wide, looking down at everyone present with an air of superiority.
"Sazex Gremory! Seraph Lucidi! You two traitors who have usurped the Demon King's throne!"
"And you, Azazel! The governor of the fallen angels, you've actually stooped so low as to make peace with the enemy! It's an utter disgrace!"
Her gaze finally settled on Rias, filled with jealousy and malice.
"And you, little girl from the Gremory family! Today, I'm going to tear you to pieces in front of your brother!"
Her declaration was both audacious and confident.
She didn't even notice the man sitting in the main seat, whom she hadn't paid any attention to from beginning to end.
Rias looked at her with pity, not fear.
Poor guy.
You don't even know what you're about to face.
You think you're the hunter, but little do you know that you and your companions were just appetizers in this grand performance from the very beginning.
Kadileya reveled in the "shocked" reaction of the crowd. She raised her wand, and surging magic began to gather in the shop.
"Tremble! Wail! Under the glory of the true Demon King, await your doom!"
"Today, this place will be the burial ground for all of you!"
Chapter 230 Cannon Fodder
Kadileya's sharp and insane declaration, like a boulder thrown into a still pond, stirred up invisible ripples in this gray world.
"Today, this place will be the burial ground for all of you!"
However, the anticipated panic did not materialize.
In the frozen silence, the current Demon King Leviathan, Seraph Lucid, slowly stood up.
Her adorable magical girl outfit, however, now accentuated an incongruous air of majesty.
She ignored the strange magicians and the terrifying magic gathering around them, and simply watched calmly as the crazed Kadirea went mad.
"Kadireya Leviathan".
Seraph spoke, her words devoid of anger, containing only a deep, almost heartbreaking disappointment.
"Why are you doing this?"
This seemingly innocuous question stung Cardirea's nerves more than any angry rebuke.
"why?"
Kadileya's features contorted as she let out a shrill, ear-piercing laugh.
"You usurper! You thief! You stole my surname! You stole the Demon King's throne that rightfully belonged to me! And now, you dare to ask me why?"
Her body trembled violently from extreme anger.
“I am the true Leviathan! And you, Seraph Lucidi! You are nothing but a shameless traitor who climbed to the throne through betrayal and groveling!”
She stretched out her finger, trembling as she traced it across everyone present.
"Look at you! You've made peace with Heaven and allied yourselves with fallen angels! You've tarnished the glory of the Demon King! You new-age trash should all be swept into the dustbin of history!"
Before she could finish speaking, she was too lazy to say another word.
"on!"
Kadileya roared hysterically.
"My magicians! Let them see what true art of destruction is!"
The space behind her rippled violently, like the surface of water to which a pebble has been thrown.
Dozens of eerie figures emerged from dark green magic circles. They wore comical yet ornate court attire, but their faces were adorned with cold, eerie ceramic masks painted with sinister smiles, like a funeral procession that had stepped out of a nightmarish fairy tale.
"The magic from the Land of Oz will play the most magnificent requiem for you!"
As Kadileya chanted, the magicians behind the ceramic masks all raised their wands.
A torrent of multicolored magic, like a deadly rainbow, instantly swept across the perimeter of the venue.
Those low-ranking guards of the three races, frozen in place by the [Evil Eye that Stops the World], were completely disintegrated and evaporated in this magnificent magic, unable to even conceive a single thought.
Not even a speck of dust remained.
It's as if they never existed.
This bloody and efficient massacre did not satisfy Kadirea; she set her sights on the three leaders of the three races sitting around the long table as her next target.
