Chapter 119
Chapter 119
But Gideon doesn't really want to discuss this with Hotch, and he won't get any meaningful answers, no doubt.
Hotch is different from Rossi. Gideon believes that although Rossi and himself are drifting away, years of working and understanding will make Rossi trust himself not to hide his true thoughts, at least in this respect. And Hotch is obviously much more cautious, not to mention that Rossi confessed to him the relationship between the two many years ago, which is definitely not a topic that can be discussed with his boss in terms of his character.
Even though Gideon doesn't like the relationship no matter what Rossi says, after all, Rossi's hotness is always... intense and almost unreal. If Hotch, like most of his past, wants to escape this uncomfortable Gideon would not be surprised by the searing emotion of fear.
And Rossi's pride will always make him refuse to redeem it.
but not now. Hotch clearly isn't there yet, he's enjoying it and has absolutely no intention of leaving Rossi's side.Originally, the only thing Gideon hoped was that he could at least be tougher on Rossi at work, ignoring those somewhat personal demands, otherwise he would be overwhelmed by the double workload sooner or later.
In the end Gideon said nothing.
From his standpoint, Gideon couldn't possibly persuade Hotch to go any further. And based on his concern for Rossi, it is impossible for him to forcefully ask the two to break up now, and he also knows that even if he asks, there will be no result.
But before leaving, Gideon stopped beside Hotch, didn't look at him, but knocked on the table, "Go home, there's no rush - even if something happens, I hope it's definitely not in the office."
Some images rushed into his mind without warning, Hotch almost froze, he immediately looked up and tried to explain, "We didn't want to be in the office…"
Gideon was a little surprised by his reaction, he raised his eyebrows, patted him with a soft smile, "Go home."
Hotch stared at his back until it disappeared completely before turning back, and then he found Rossi standing in front of him, and he covered up in panic, "Dave, what is he talking about? What nonsense are you talking to him?"
Rossi was a little confused, "What did Jason say?"
Hotch opened his mouth, and he immediately realized that he was overreacting in that moment, and he should of course believe that Rossi didn't and didn't need to confess to Gideon that the two of them settled in his office on the rare few occasions.
"Aaron, what did he tell you?" Rossi was worried, he was completely unprepared to face the consequences of a possible separation.
Hotch looked away, coughed lightly, "Nothing."
"Aaron?" Rossi leaned closer, but Hotch ducked back, which made him even more nervous, "Jason wouldn't really suggest that you…"
He paused, still avoiding possible words, and only said softly, "Solve the problems between us."
"What?" Hotch stood up abruptly, "What do you mean by solving our problems? I'm pretty sure there is no problem between us! Dave, what did he say to you!"
Rossi frowned slightly and pulled him back, "Calm down, Aaron."
Hotch looked at him for a while, sat down again, and sighed, "Well, I admit that there are some problems, but this is a personal matter. It has nothing to do with Jason at all, unless you plan to get back with him."
"Aaron!" Rossi leaned against his table, reached out to stop him from continuing, and took a few deep breaths to calm himself down, "You know very well that Jason and I are over."
Hotch stared at him for a moment, then finally relaxed, "I know."
"So what the hell did he say?" Rossi put a hand on his shoulder, still watching him.
"He did suggest that we fix our problems." Hotch licked his lips lightly and smiled, "After we get home."
Rossi was a little skeptical, but he still pushed forward and added some strength to his hands, "I quite doubt if Jason is referring to this, but I'm pretty sure that every corner of this building is probably under surveillance except for the private office space Down."
He then lowered his voice, "So... don't tempt me here."
Hotch pushed his report away, leaned back in his chair, watched him blink, "Go home?"
"my home?"
"Of course." Hotch began to pack up. "I'm hungry."
