Chapter 590 Hagrid's Chapter Arrives
Chapter 590 Hagrid is back
Xilun got a very high score in the divination exam, probably the highest among all the students.
Because Ron told the examiner in great detail that he saw a crooked-mouthed, toothless, and fire-scalded monster in the crystal ball, and when he looked up, he found the shadow of the examiner he had described reflected in the crystal ball.
Thus, Siron, who perfectly predicted this event, received a very high grade. However, Ron will likely fail the course.
Xilun noticed that the examiner's expression was not very good when he left.
"Don't worry about it. I can't see any change in the crystal ball either. Maybe we're just not suited to this subject," Harry comforted Ron.
"It's different," Ron said dejectedly. "At least you didn't verbally abuse the examiner, an ugly freak, to his face."
"Well—it's not your fault." Harry's expression remained tense as he forced a smile. "After all, the crystal ball is round, and a person's reflection will always look slightly different on it."
"From now on, I don't care what I see in the crystal ball anymore; the trash can is where that thing belongs!"
"That's not how you put it," Harry laughed. "Sirlen's grades are very good."
Ron's face stiffened, and he looked even more frustrated than before, but everyone else burst into laughter.
It's easy to imagine that, at least until the holidays, this will remain one of the most interesting topics at Hogwarts.
Hermione ran up from behind them. She hadn't taken the Divination exam; instead, she had gone to the Numerology exam, which she considered the most difficult subject.
Harry quickly stopped laughing, afraid of upsetting her again.
"I think I did pretty well on my divination test," Hermione said happily, then she noticed that everyone around her was laughing.
"What's wrong with them?"
"Ah, is that so—" Harry told Hermione about how Ron had perfectly fulfilled the prophecy of Siron during the divination exam.
Hermione couldn't help but laugh too.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to." She said with a smirk to Ron, whose eyes were filled with murderous intent. "Well, I think we'd better check the star charts before dinner—"
The topic shift was a bit abrupt, but it was still effective; the group nodded in agreement and went to the library together.
At 11 p.m., they arrived at the top of the astronomical tower. There was no wind or cloud that night; it was an ideal night for observing celestial bodies.
Everyone set up their telescopes and waited for the examiner to speak before filling in the blank star charts they were given.
The process was somewhat tedious, requiring people to constantly check the positions of celestial bodies through telescopes before drawing them onto star charts.
Fortunately, the two exams during the day weren't too difficult, otherwise they would have had a hard time concentrating on observing the positions of those celestial bodies.
With twenty minutes left in the exam, Xilun finished filling in his icon.
He looked away from the binoculars and just then noticed an orange-yellow light shining in the direction of the Forbidden Forest in the distance.
Siren's heart skipped a beat, thinking that Umbridge had run out. But upon closer inspection, he realized that the light was fixed and its direction was exactly where Hagrid's cabin was located.
Hagrid is back?
Xilun looked up to get a better look, but then he heard a deliberately heavy footstep behind him, as if someone was reminding him that he was taking an exam.
Xilun pressed his eye back against the binoculars, and only slowly opened it a crack after the footsteps behind him had faded into the distance.
Judging from the location of the light, it is indeed Hagrid's cabin.
Professor Grapland usually lives in the castle, so it's impossible for him to be in Hagrid's cabin in the middle of the night. In addition, the huge figure that flashed by in the light just now confirms that it must be Hagrid who has returned.
"oh!"
Harry's exclamation came from the side; he had clearly noticed the light in the distance as well.
"Please note, there are only ten minutes left!"
Harry was startled and quickly looked at his star chart, while Siron continued to stare in the direction of the cabin.
For a fleeting moment, he thought he saw a larger figure sway behind the cabin.
The figure was taller than the wooden house, almost like a moving mountain, but it disappeared in just a moment, as if it had never been there at all.
Then, even the lights in the cabin went out.
Siren subtly adjusted the direction of his telescope, attempting to point it at the Forbidden Forest. However, this action was quickly noticed by the examiners. Professor Machiban deliberately came up behind Siren, cleared his throat, and reminded him that it was an exam and the telescope could only be pointed at the sky.
Astronomy exams are the easiest to answer. There have been instances where people have placed the answers far away so that students could copy them down while looking through a telescope.
If Professor Machiban hadn't noticed that Celen had already finished answering her astrological chart, she probably wouldn't have just given her a simple reminder.
Unfortunately, Xilun only saw a row of fallen trees and had to adjust the telescope back to its original position.
After that, the Forbidden Forest returned to calm.
Finally, in the early hours of the morning, another examiner, Professor Toford, announced the end of the exam.
After the star chart was taken away, Siron put the telescope back on the shelf.
"Silen, you saw it too, didn't you—"
As soon as he turned around, Harry rushed over and said eagerly, "Hagrid is back! I saw the light on in his room!"
"Yes, I saw it too." Xilun nodded.
"I want to go see him," Harry said. "Want to come with me?"
"Don't be silly, Harry!" Hermione caught up from behind and said irritably, "It's the 0.WL exam right now. Do you want to break the school rules and go out at night to see Hagrid?"
"Have you considered that if Umbridge finds out, she will definitely disqualify you from the exam!"
this----
Harry hesitated.
Although he longed to see Hagrid, he had to admit that Hermione was right.
Umbridge has recently become just like Snape, always watching him from the shadows, preventing him from making any mistakes.
"It's okay," Hermione said in a low voice. "Since Hagrid is back, it means he won't be leaving again anytime soon. We can go find him after the exams tomorrow. We'll have plenty of time to chat with him then, and we won't have to worry about breaking school rules."
“Ah, that’s true,” Harry said. “But Hagrid really shouldn’t have come back at this time. I mean, Hagrid’s been getting too close to Dumbledore, and Umbridge is definitely going to make trouble for him.”
"Hopefully Hagrid can handle it," Hermione said, a hint of worry in her eyes.
Xilun blinked beside him but said nothing.
Under normal circumstances, he should not know where Umbridge had been, as he had been taking exams all day.
