Chapter 114 The Two Whose Rumors Were Spread Wrongly to Wakanda
Chapter 114 The Two Whose Rumors Were Spread Wrongly to Wakanda
Once Toby and the Valkyrie's laughter subsided and the rainbow beams around them disappeared, they had arrived on Earth.
However, both of them were taken aback when they saw the Black people around them tilling the land.
Toby, in particular, looked utterly bewildered.
Isn't he going to New York?
Did Heimdall send them to the wrong era?
Why are there still so many old-fashioned American-style tillers?
Just as Toby was wondering what was going on, a fat old man wearing a white robe and glasses walked towards Toby and his companion.
Compared to the astonished Black people in the other fields who were stunned when the two appeared from the beams of light from the Rainbow Bridge, the old man in the white robe seemed much calmer.
He walked up to the two men and smiled, saying, "May I ask what brings you two to our country?"
Toby glanced at the distinguished-looking elderly Black man in front of him and shook his head, saying, "No, nothing special. We're just lost and in the wrong place. Excuse me, where is this?"
The old man in white robes wasn't particularly surprised that the two emerged from the beam of light, but Toby's words did startle him, and he couldn't help but ask, "You mean, you got lost in a whole country?"
Toby shrugged. "Yeah, some blind guy teleported us back to the wrong place. We were supposed to go to New York."
Far away in Asgard, Heimdall, with the help of the horse-faced man, is washing his eyes: WCNM!
If you hadn't thrown sand in my eyes, would I have been able to transmit it incorrectly?
I'm glad I didn't teleport you underground!
The Celestials from the Underground: Hey hey hey!
The old man in the white robe paused for a moment, then finally accepted the seemingly absurd explanation: "Alright, anyway, welcome to Wakanda. Would you like me to arrange a private jet to take you back to New York?"
Hearing the old man in white's words, it was Toby's turn to be surprised: "Is this Wakanda? May I ask your name?"
The old man in white robes smiled slightly: "There's no such thing as expensive or not expensive. I'm just the king of this poor little country. You can just call me Tchaka."
Toby was even more surprised when he heard this.
Because this is not the king of some impoverished little country, this is clearly the king of the most advanced and richest country in the world, and also the king of Black Panther!
He's also the guy who was used as the most important sacrificial pawn by Baron Zemo in Captain America 3, in order to cause the Avengers to split from within!
However... none of this has anything to do with Toby now.
After all, this universe is far from a split within the Avengers, and it's questionable whether the Avengers can even be successfully reunited.
After all, he's practically poached all the Avengers members and brought them into the Spider-Man family.
Toby himself would not allow any internal division within the Spider Family, nor would he allow anyone to covet his Spider Family.
General Ross, the last one to set his sights on his Spider Clan, and his soldiers, are now buried under a mountain of weeds.
However, Toby glanced at Tchaka, his eyes flashing, and pulled a business card from his clothes, handing it to him.
"So it's King T'Chaka. I've heard so much about you. I've always admired your Wakanda for refusing any international aid and for being self-reliant despite its poverty. I think we could have a chance to cooperate more deeply."
Tchaka took the business card, and upon seeing the name on it, a glint flashed in his glasses:
"So you're Mr. Toby Parker, the founder of Parker Industries. I've heard so much about you. Your company's regenerative agents are now a highly sought-after miracle product worldwide..."
"Unfortunately, Wakanda is a barren land, barely able to achieve self-sufficiency, and we probably can't afford your company's products..."
T'Chaka had emphasized for the third time that Wakanda was barren, and Toby felt only disdain. Others might not know the situation in Wakanda, but how could he not know?
Barren?
Even Tony, who's richer than a country, is just a nobody compared to you guys!
If Wakanda is barren, then there are no rich countries in the world!
Wakanda is incredibly wealthy thanks to the development of vibranium!
Toby smiled and stared at T'Chaka, saying meaningfully, "King T'Chaka, my company's product transactions are not limited to monetary exchanges. I also welcome barter, such as exchanging some of your Wakanda's 'local specialties'..."
Upon hearing this, especially the emphasis Toby placed on "local specialties," T'Chaka's smile slowly faded. He gave Toby a deep look and said in a low voice:
"I think we can discuss the cooperation later. As for now, I think Mr. Parker should return to New York as soon as possible. A lot has happened while you were gone."
Toby frowned and immediately asked, "Something happened to Parker Industries?"
T'Chaka shook his head: "No, even though you, the backbone of Parker Industries, are not here, with Tony Stark and Kingpin in charge, no one dares to mess with Parker Industries. Parker Industries is thriving."
"What I'm referring to is about your family, Mr. Parker."
"So, I think I should arrange a connecting flight so you can go back as soon as possible."
family?
Was it Ben, May, or Peter who got into trouble?
Toby suddenly erupted with intense killing intent, no longer caring about his plans for Wakanda's vibranium; all he wanted now was to get home as quickly as possible.
Just then, another beam of seven-colored light fell, and Heimdall, having just washed his eyes, delivered the Happy Spaceship to him in time.
Seeing this, Toby nodded to T'Chaka: "Thank you for the reminder. Until we meet again, King T'Chaka."
After saying that, Toby didn't linger any longer. He and the Valkyrie, who had been watching from the sidelines, quickly boarded the spaceship and piloted the Happy Spaceship towards New York.
After they left, the stunned Black people working the fields around them also removed their disguises, their hemp clothes were replaced with gorgeous fabrics, and their hoes were replaced with spears.
A bald woman dressed in red approached Tchaka and respectfully said, "Your Majesty, according to the test results, the two beams of seven-colored light that just descended have been confirmed to be the same type as the two beams of seven-colored light that appeared in New Mexico two months ago."
"According to our informants in the United States, the seven-colored beams seem to belong to the legendary Rainbow Bridge in the divine realm."
"Two months ago, the Spider Family joined forces to stop Loki's plot to invade Earth. Among them, the Spider Family's leader, 'Poison Spider,' single-handedly blocked the countless Frost Giants pouring out of the Rainbow Bridge. In the end, he entered the Rainbow Bridge alone and has been missing for two months."
"Now, Toby Parker of Parker Industries has reappeared from the Rainbow Bridge, bringing with him a spaceship with technology far surpassing Earth's. Therefore, it can be confirmed that Toby Parker is the 'Poison Spider' of the Spider Family. Furthermore, he should have reached a deeper level of communication with Asgard. The strangely dressed woman next to him is probably from Asgard."
