Journey Through Dimensional Worlds

Chapter 8 Amusement Park

Chapter 8 Amusement Park

The summer sun shone brightly over the entire amusement park, and the lively sounds of people and cheerful music created a vibrant atmosphere.

Everywhere you look, there are children skipping and jumping with their parents' hands, couples chatting and laughing while holding popcorn, and staff dressed in mascot costumes running around with balloons in hand.

He Quan placed Xiao Chuixue on his shoulder, feeling her small weight pressing steadily against his shoulder, and her body temperature passing through the fabric.

Little Snowflake's eyes sparkled as she looked around, repeatedly asking, "What's that?"

"So tall!"

"So many people!"

Her short black hair fluttered slightly in the wind.

The tornado beside him floated in the air, its body enveloped in pale green fluorescent light, its arms crossed over its chest.

The skirt swayed gently above her knees, the white pantyhose gleamed softly in the sunlight, and the laces of her black leather shoes were neatly tied.

Her expression was indifferent, her lips were flat, and she didn't even lift her eyelids when her eyes swept over the amusement park rides.

Her gaze fell on a little girl being led by her parents. The little girl held a cotton candy in her hand, the pink sugar strands forming fluffy clouds, and smiled as she looked up and talked to her parents.

Dad bent down and picked her up, while Mom reached out to wipe the sugar stains from the corner of her mouth.

Tornado withdrew her gaze, her calm expression a stark contrast to Fubuki's expectant and excited face.

As the three entered the depths of the amusement park, the golden paint of the carousel glittered in the sunlight, and screams erupted as the flying pendulum swung to its highest point. The roller coaster roared overhead, and the wind pressure rustled the leaves in the trees. The balloon shooting booth was crowded with children, and the claw machine's music jingled incessantly.

In addition to various facilities, there are also some interactive games.

For example, there are balloon shooting games, claw machines, and hammer games. Some children are swinging on swings and sliding down slides; their laughter fills the air, bringing joy to the entire amusement park.

As the tornado hovered in the air and flew by, passersby all turned to look.

"That little girl can fly!"

"They must be superpowered! That's amazing!"

"What is that green light around her?"

"This little girl will definitely become a great hero someday!"

Although superpowered individuals are not extremely rare in this era, a little girl who looks to be only about ten years old floating in mid-air with her whole body glowing is still too conspicuous.

As we passed the carousel, several children in line looked up, their mouths wide open, pointing at the tornado, tugging at their mothers' clothes and shouting, "Mom, look, that person is flying!"

Several young girls came out of the ice cream shop, holding ice cream cones in their hands. Their eyes first fell on the tornado flying in mid-air, and then moved down to He's whole body without prior agreement.

"That little girl's clothes are so pretty!"

"Wait, look at that man over there!"

"Oh my god, is he a model?"

"That height, that figure, that face...she's way prettier than those celebrities on TV, isn't she?"

"Look at his eyes, so black and deep—he's looking this way!"

"Stop talking, let's go, let's go!"

The girls blushed and walked away quickly, but after a few steps they turned back to steal another glance, then huddled together and whispered among themselves.

He Quan was already used to this reaction. He was wearing a simple black T-shirt and dark trousers, with the sleeves rolled up to his elbows, revealing his well-defined forearms. His black hair fell casually over his forehead, and the contours of his face appeared particularly deep in the sunlight.

He Quan turned his head to look at the tornado: "How does it feel?"

Tornado said calmly, "I don't feel anything."

She paused, then added, "Fubuki wanted to come, so I came."

"The arrogant version has been discontinued."

He Quan immediately saw through the little expectation that Tornado was hiding in her heart: "But since she's Tornado, she's cute no matter what."

Tornado turned her face to the side, her green hair brushing against her shoulder, the tips of her ears peeking out from between her strands, tinged with a very faint pink: "I don't understand what you're saying."

Hearing this, Little Snowflake, perched on his shoulders, hooked her arms around He Quan's chin, looked down at him, her short black hair almost brushing against his forehead: "Hehe, you like older sisters too?"

"That's right, your sister is so cute, she's definitely my wife. I will definitely marry your sister in the future."

He Quan raised his eyes and met those bright, black eyes that were turned upside down. Xiao Chuixue's lips curled up slightly, revealing two rows of neat little teeth.

Little Snowflake tilted her head and asked, "Marriage? Like Mom and Dad?"

He Quan nodded: "Mhm."

"Stop talking."

Tornado turned her head, her voice low but rapid: "Who wants to hear this?"

The redness on her face spread from her cheekbones to her ears, even tinging her neck with a very light pink. She clearly wanted to be angry, but didn't know where to direct her anger.

"Get down."

He Quan stretched out his arms, waiting for the tornado to fall.

"No need!" Tornado refused outright. Her fingers unconsciously twisted the hem of her skirt, creating fine wrinkles in the dark blue fabric. Her gaze drifted to the carousel beside her, then quickly returned.

He Quan hummed twice: "Then let's continue talking about my marriage to you."

Tornado's expression froze. She opened her mouth, then closed it again. Her green eyes glared at He Quan, their eyes screaming, "You dare!"

"Hehe, sister, you're blushing." Little Snowflake had an innocent smile on her face, her hands still hooked on He Quan's chin.

"Fubuki!" Tornado's voice rose a half-octave: "Whose side are you on anyway?"

Little Snowflake blinked, seemingly deep in thought. Then she released He Quan's chin, stretched out her arms towards the tornado, and cried, "Big sister, hug me!"

The tornado paused for a moment. Then she took a deep breath, slowly descended, and landed on He Quan's arm.

Her legs were hooked around his arms, forming a princess carry. Her back was ramrod straight, her face turned straight ahead, determined not to look at He Quan. But she didn't pull away either.

Little Snowflake happily shrunk back onto He Quan's shoulder, patting his head with her little hand as if stamping it.

"Let's go!" she pointed to the tallest roller coaster in the distance. "Let's ride that one!"

Tornado chose the carousel. She didn't say it aloud, but as she passed by, she slowed down a bit and glanced in that direction twice.

He Quan didn't say anything and went straight into the queue.

The golden rocking horse glittered in the sunlight, its mirror-like surface reflecting countless tiny spots of light.

As the music started, the carousel began to rotate slowly, and a gentle breeze carried the sweet aroma of popcorn and the caramel scent of cotton candy.

Tornado sat astride a white wooden horse, her hands gripping the reins, her long green hair swaying gently in the wind. Her skirt draped over the sides of the saddle, and her legs, encased in white pantyhose, pressed lightly against the horse's body.

He Quan sat behind her on a black wooden horse, while Chuixue squeezed in front of him, her little hands gripping the horse's ears as she excitedly looked around.

The music was an old-fashioned music box melody, tinkling and tinkling, like the music boxes from my childhood. The rocking horse slowly rose and slowly descended.

Tornado watched the surrounding scenery flash by: colorful strings of lights, queues of people, and a Ferris wheel in the distance.

Her lips curved slightly, then quickly returned to their original shape.

Xiao Chuixue chose the roller coaster. She pointed to the highest track, her eyes shining like two stars, and shouted, "That one, that one, that one."

He Quan glanced at the tornado, and the tornado glanced at the roller coaster. The track was so high that it almost pierced the clouds, and the angle of the plunge was almost vertical.

"Afraid?" He Quan asked.

"How is that possible?" Tornado flew towards the entrance of the roller coaster first.

When the roller coaster reached its highest point, Tornado's expression clearly changed.

Her hands gripped the safety bar tightly, her knuckles turning slightly white. He Quan sat beside her, holding Xiao Chuixue in his arms.

He said nothing, but simply extended a hand and placed it on the back of Tornado's hand. Tornado's fingers stiffened for a moment, then very gently released the safety bar, flipped it over, and grasped his index finger.

As it swooped down, Little Snowflake let out an excited scream.

The wind rushed into his ears, and the whole world seemed to spin. He Quan tightened his arms, holding Chuixue firmly in his embrace.

His other hand was gripped tightly by the tornado, with such force that it almost left a mark.

After getting off, Tornado resolutely denied that she was afraid. She recalled knowledge she had read in a book and said it was just an "instinctive stress response to a fast-moving object."

Little Snowflake tugged at He Quan's trouser leg, tilted her head back, and asked, "What is an instinctive stress response?"

He Quan said, "It means fear."

Tornado kicked him.

As they played through the various games, Tornado unexpectedly won all sorts of small gifts, making a big splash in front of her younger sister.

Hearing her sister's praise and admiring gaze, Tornado stuffed the prize into Fubuki's arms and said in a flat tone, "Here you go."

Then she turned around and quickly stuffed a small doll into He Quan's hand, as if she were handing over some contraband.

Don't overthink it. It's just something I did on the side.

He Quan smiled.

Little Snowflake's stamina seemed limitless. She held He Quan's hand and ran around, constantly shouting, "One more time! One more time!"

Although Tornado wasn't as excited as Fubuki, she would proactively walk to the entrance of the next attraction and wait, then turn around to see if He Quan had followed.

As evening falls, the Ferris wheel slowly turns, carrying tourists into the sky.

He Quan sat in the middle, Long Juan on the left, and Chui Xue on the right. The sedan chair was small, and the three people's shoulders were almost touching.

Tornado didn't say anything more harsh, nor did she emphasize that she was "just sitting down." She sat next to He Quan, leaning against his arm, and looked out the window at the gradually darkening sky.

The setting sun bathed the entire city in orange-red hues, the streets and buildings gradually shrinking beneath our feet, and the distant sea reflecting the last rays of sunlight like a melting golden thread.

The elevator car remained quiet for a long time.

Tornado leaned on He Quan's arm, gazing out the window. The setting sun cast its light on her face, turning her green eyelashes a pale gold.

Her lips moved slightly, as if she wanted to say something.

He Quan turned his head: "What's wrong?"

Tornado was silent for two seconds, then turned her face away: "It's nothing."

He Quan didn't press the matter. He simply placed his hand on her head and ruffled it. Long Juan didn't flinch.

Little Snowflake was already asleep when we got off the Ferris wheel.

She nestled on He Quan's shoulder, her little head resting gently against his shoulder, her black hair cascading down his neck, soft snores rising and falling, her breathing soft and light, like a cat curled up by a fireplace.

Her fingers were still hooked around He Quan's collar, and the corners of her mouth were slightly upturned in her sleep, perhaps dreaming of something happy.

The tornado flew to He Quan's side, but its speed was half a beat slower than when it came.

She looked down at Fubuki's sleeping face and gently brushed away the stray hairs stuck to her sister's forehead with her fingers.

As she passed the Ferris wheel, she glanced back. The lights rotated slowly in the night, like a ring of stars that never goes out.

She looked away and caught up with He Quan.

After returning home, He Quan gently placed Xiao Chuixue on the bed, moving very slowly so as not to wake her.

Fubuki rolled over, kicked off half of the blanket, and mumbled something indistinctly.

Tornado stood by the bed, carefully covering her younger sister with the blanket and tucking the corner of the blanket under her chin.

Only the floor lamp was lit in the living room, casting a warm yellow light.

Tornado stood at the entrance of the corridor and used telekinesis to take off her shoes.

The laces of her black round-toed leather shoes came undone on their own, the buckles snapped open with a click, and the shoes slid off her feet and landed on the floor.

Her feet, encased in white pantyhose, made no sound as they stepped onto the wooden floor.

Her feet were small, with slightly arched feet, and her toes curled up and then relaxed very slightly inside her pantyhose.

These shoes aren't very breathable. After wearing them all day, feeling stuffy inside, I could feel a cool sensation the moment my socks came out.

He Quanshun looked over. White pantyhose hugged her slender figure, forming a smooth arc from ankle to toe.

The arch of the foot was slightly raised, casting a soft shadow beneath the fabric. The toes were neatly clustered together, like a row of tiny pearls hidden behind frosted glass.

The rounded toes pressed against the toes of the socks, the white fabric stretched there, revealing a barely perceptible sheen.

"Don't look!" Noticing He Quan's staring gaze, Tornado immediately withdrew her foot and hid it behind her back.

These shoes aren't breathable at all; of course you'll sweat if you stay inside for too long.

This made her feel inexplicably embarrassed.

It won't have any strange smell, will it?

Tornado decided to take a shower as soon as possible.

She had just turned around, and before she could take flight, He Quan suddenly spoke up from behind: "Wait."

The tornado stopped and turned its head to look at him.

"You must have felt really stuffy wearing that all day."

He Quan took a pair of slippers from the shoe cabinet, walked over, and bent down to place them beside her feet.

Tornado stared at the slippers, then paused for a moment. Her fluffy rabbit ears twitched slightly in the light.

"Thank you," she said softly.

Then she heard He Quan say, "Don't put it on yet, let me try it on."

"?"

Tornado turned her head, her eyebrows furrowed, her face filled with confusion and disbelief: "You...you..."

He Quan grabbed the ice cream and started to enjoy it.

The rich aroma of the ice cream fills the nostrils, and the faint warmth it emits penetrates deep into the heart and soul.

The warm, smooth texture, mixed with a subtle milky aroma, gradually melts in the mouth.

The aroma is wonderful, filling the entire mouth.

[Foot Health and Wellness] Launched!

The free attribute value has started to increase again.

The tornado tried to break free. She used her telekinesis to push He Quan's hand, but not with force.

Again.

She thought to herself. It's him again. She knew she should be angry, should use her superpowers to push him away, should shout "No!"

But she didn't.

She just stood there, her face flushed, and stopped moving.
