Chapter 6
Chapter 6
About ten minutes later, the nanny came to tell Mavis that the baby was awake.Kang Zhier and Elvis got up and followed Mavis to the nursery.
Meivis' baby was a girl, she was very cute, and she was very obedient after eating, she was quietly hugged by Meivis, as soft as a ball of cotton.
Meivis asked Kang Zhier to hug her, so Kang Zhier carefully took the baby from Meivis's arms, and then held her very carefully without daring to show his air.
"Relax." Mavis patted him on the shoulder.
Meiweisi's instructions had a magical power. After Kang Zhier relaxed, his shoulders no longer felt stiff, and he made funny faces while holding the child to tease her.
Mavis's baby has a good temper and is a little baby who loves to laugh.Kang Zhier can make her giggle every time.He was melted by the little angel in his arms, and turned to Mavis and sighed: "She is really cute."
Meivis watched with a smile on the side, and suddenly stretched out his hand and gave Elvis a nudge, pushing him to Kang Zhier's side, letting him look at the baby too.
Kang Zhier hugged the baby, his face was stained with the breath of a child unconsciously, he pursed his thin lips, raised his face and asked Elvis: "Do you think she is cute?"
As in the kitchen a few days ago, in the baby room of the Mavis family, because of the close distance and the warm environment, the distance between them once again disappeared briefly.Elvis looked him straight in the eye and nodded quietly.
Afterwards, Elvis got a work call and walked out of the nursery.
After handing over the baby to the nanny, Mevis took Kang Zhier to visit her gift room.
Kang Zhier entered the gift room, and on the dazzling gift shelf, he saw a rare small video camera at first sight.
He took down the camera, and asked Meiweis excitedly: "This is from Qing Zai, right?"
Seeing Kang Zhier so happy, Mei Weisi shook his head amusedly, and sighed: "You really understand clearly."
Kang Zhier lowered his head because of Mavis' words, and put the small video camera back on the shelf with some embarrassment.
"Brother Qing Zai told me that he is not good at giving gifts to others," he said softly with a smile, "so he would choose to give his favorite things to others."
"It looks like that," Mavis put his hand on his shoulder and teased him with a smile, "you've received quite a few."
Hearing this, Kang Zhier pursed his lips and laughed.
They then went on to admire Mevis's gifts, ranging from out-of-print jewelry, antiques returned from auctions, to artworks that were no longer available in the market, and Kang Zhier was dazzled.
Finally, when they reached the window of the gift room, Mavis stopped.
"Xiaozhi, you understand Qingzai so well."
She pointed out the window and asked Kang Zhier: "Then downstairs, what do you think of him?"
After listening to Meivis' question, Kang Zhier turned his head and looked out the window, and saw that Elvis was standing in the garden talking on the phone with his mobile phone.
He looked at Elvis' back through the glass, and shook his head after a while.
"You two had a very good relationship when you were young." Mevis said next to him.
"That happened when I was a child," Kang Zhier replied, "I don't even remember it."
After he finished speaking, Mavis didn't answer immediately. After a moment of silence, she said suddenly: "Silence is golden."
Kang Zhier was slightly taken aback when he heard the words, and turned to ask Meiweis: "What?"
Meivis' eyes were still focused on the outside of the window at this time. She folded her arms and said slowly: "I once read a word in a book called 'pure gold quality'."
She paused for a while, and then said to Kang Zhier: "Elvis, he is also a person of pure gold quality."
When leaving Mavis's house, Mavis held the baby and said goodbye to them at the door.
Kang Zhier hated the little baby, kept making funny faces at her, and even blew her many kisses.
When they left, Kang Zhier found that Elvis was looking at him thoughtfully.
"What's wrong?" he asked Elvis.
Elvis stared at him, and spoke after a while: "You show enthusiasm to others so easily."
"Leave me alone."
Kang Zhier didn't care about his evaluation, turned and went out after leaving a word.
On the way back, Kang Zhier kept thinking about the so-called "pure gold quality" mentioned by Mevis.
It is difficult for him to distract himself after he gets caught up in something, so when he came back to his senses on the way back to Lake Garden, and found two giant dogs approaching not far away, he was completely frightened out of his wits up.
Friends who are a little familiar with Kang Zhier know that he is very afraid of dogs.
Therefore, when the two giant dogs swayed and approached him step by step, even though the owner was holding the dog leash behind him, he was too scared to walk.
And those two giant dog noses seemed to be very sensitive, they could smell the calmness on his surface and the actual fear, and they all rushed towards him.
When Kang Zhier was most at a loss, he took Elvis who was right next to him as a life-saving straw, grabbed his arm, held his hand tightly, and pressed his forehead to his shoulder.
I don't know how much time passed, until he heard the dog owner yelling at his two beloved pets, leading them to walk behind him, and after confirming that he was safe, Kang Zhier opened his eyes faintly.
After he came back to his senses, he remembered that he was holding Elvis' hand, and was about to let go, but felt that the limbs of the person beside him were extremely stiff.
Kang Zhier raised his face, and saw that Elvis' face was a little pale in the twilight, and his expression looked very strange, as if he was extremely resistant to his approach.
His expression made Kang Zhier sullen.
Isn't it just grabbing your hand, as for being so annoying?
Thinking of this, Kang Zhier was so angry that he shook off his hand and walked away without looking back.
In the evening, Kang Zhier called Irene to denounce Elvis' bad behavior.
"Irene, Elvis hurts people's self-esteem too much," Kang Zhier said so angrily that his voice changed. "Am I so disliked? I just touched him, why should he say so?" Dislike me so much? Did I provoke him?"
"Calm down first," Irene comforted him in a good voice, "don't be so angry."
"How could it be possible not to be angry?" Kang Zhier thumped the pillow on his lap and said, "You didn't see his expression at that time, as if I was a germ, and he didn't even have time to hide."
"Oh, it's not like you don't know," Irene advised him, "Elvis doesn't like to be in close contact with others. If you still hug him and hold his hand, it's probably okay if he doesn't push you away." Alright."
"Hmph," Kang Zhier said, rolling his eyes, "I think if I hadn't let go quickly, he would have pushed me away in the next second."
Erin couldn't help laughing on the other end of the phone.
Kang Zhier remembered that he had never been angry with anyone since he was a child, only Elvis treated him like this, and he felt really aggrieved.
"He never liked me. I knew about it when I was a child. It's just me, who is careless, and rushes to this place to be disliked by others."
The more he thought about it, the more panicked he became, and he blurted out: "I really can't take it anymore. Thinking of Elvis, I can't stay in this place for a moment."
"Are you leaving?" Erin asked him.
He fell down on the sofa and said very firmly: "I will leave tomorrow when I wake up."
He was lying flat on the sofa, his eyes fixed on the dark blue curtain, and suddenly felt the wind blowing in from the bedroom door again.
Kang Zhier turned his head and saw the bedroom door closed three quarters, and got up slowly.
When he walked to the door, he caught a glimpse of an uninvited guest outside the door through the crack of the door.
Elvis didn't know why he was standing at his door.
Kang Zhier didn't want to see him, and didn't want to be angry with him, so he pretended not to see him, and closed the door in front of him.
