Chapter 38 The Stunning Elf Queen
Chapter 38 The Stunning Elf Queen
Terra.
Lin Mo and his group flew for nearly three hours before finally arriving at their destination.
When a massive, overwhelming silhouette appeared on the distant horizon, Lin Mo's breath caught in his throat.
That was a tree.
A colossal tree, a hundred times larger than the World Tree of Lostia.
Its trunk is as thick as a pillar connecting heaven and earth, and countless huge branches extend in all directions, forming emerald continents suspended in the air.
Sunlight streamed through the lush canopy of trees, casting countless dappled patterns of light.
Countless crystal-clear, beautifully designed buildings dot the branches and platforms.
Some even grow directly from huge tree branches, appearing as if they were created by nature.
A series of suspended bridges woven from vines connect different areas.
Countless elves rode flying mounts such as griffins and hippogriffs, shuttling between cities.
There is even a waterfall cascading down from extremely high branches, creating a misty spray that forms a rainbow that never fades in the sunlight.
The entire tree kingdom is filled with the harmonious beauty of life and nature, so magnificent that it leaves one speechless.
"Holy crap..."
Lin Mo muttered to himself, a thought popping into his mind.
"If this place were rated a 5A-level scenic spot, wouldn't a single ticket cost 88,000 yuan?"
As they approached, two squads of elven guards riding hippogriffs and clad in silver armor flew down from below, flanking them in perfect unison.
The head of the guards saluted Fendona, then his gaze fell on Lin Mo. After scrutinizing him for a moment, he nodded slightly as a sign of acknowledgment.
The group passed through an archway made of giant flowers.
It slowly landed on a plaza at the center of the top of the World Tree.
The moment the griffin landed, a fresh scent of grass and trees mixed with the sweet fragrance of unknown flowers filled my nostrils.
The plaza is paved with smooth white jade, and its center is carved with intricate and beautiful life runes, which are faintly glowing.
Directly ahead, a grand honor guard had been waiting for a long time.
Two rows of elven nobles in fine robes stood on either side, their expressions solemn as they curiously observed the strangers who had descended from the griffins.
At the end of the procession was a female elf dressed in a magnificent silver-white robe and wearing a dazzling crystal crown.
She stood there quietly, without making any movement, yet she exuded an aura of elegance, nobility, and supreme authority.
Her appearance was somewhat similar to Fendona's, but more mature and refined, with a pair of light blue eyes that contained the wisdom of a lifetime.
Her figure was perfectly outlined by the luxurious robe, a beauty that had stood the test of time.
Mature, voluptuous, and brimming with fatal attraction.
This is none other than the Elf Queen, Ellari.
Lin Mo quickly jumped down from the griffin, tidied his hair which was blown by the wind like a bird's nest, and straightened his head.
But the moment his gaze met that of the Elf Queen, only one thought remained in his mind.
Is this the Elf Queen who has lived for over two thousand years?
With her looks, figure, and demeanor, she could easily pass for a stunning 30-year-old mature woman.
If you go back dozens of generations in the family tree, your ancestors might not even be as old as you.
If the beauty tech giants on Earth saw this, they would all have to kneel down and become his disciples.
If Fendona is a crisp, refreshing green apple, then Her Majesty the Queen is a ripe, juicy peach.
"Oh, listen, people of Avinor!"
At that moment, a loud chant interrupted Lin Mo's reverie.
Beside the Queen stood an elven elder with a beard that almost dragged on the ground, holding an ancient scroll of parchment.
He continued singing loudly in an aria-like tone:
"A strange wind of fate has brought us a guest from another world!"
Lin Mo's heart skipped a beat. What was going on?
Such a grand display?
He quickly stood up straight, his hands hanging naturally at his sides, adopting a humble and polite demeanor.
The elder's voice echoed across the square.
"He, with a mortal body, brought divine wisdom; he improved our bows and crossbows, allowing arrows to catch up with the tail feathers of shooting stars!"
The surrounding elven nobles let out a low gasp of amazement, their eyes filled with curiosity and scrutiny as they looked at Lin Mo.
Kalan, standing at the end of the line, looked even more displeased upon hearing the praise, and his fists clenched involuntarily.
The elder's voice rose even higher, filled with passion.
"Atop the walls of Lostia, as the shadow of the demons loomed over the land, he fought valiantly, turning the evil enemy to ashes!"
"He also possesses the compassion of the goddess of life, helping us to heal our severely injured compatriots!"
This moved even the usually composed old elves.
Lin Mo felt his face burning.
I've never heard such outrageous flattery in my life, especially in front of hundreds of elves.
All I did was provide a blueprint and throw away a fruit of life. How did that become divine wisdom and goddess compassion?
Did these elves learn their language from bards?
In an instant, praises filled the square, and many young elves had stars of admiration in their eyes.
"Oh, look! Isn't that Lord Lin Mo from another world? His hair is black, and so are his eyes, how unique!"
A young female elf whispered to her companion.
"It's more than just special! Didn't you hear what the elders said? His improved composite bow has a range and power far exceeding our longbows!"
A male elf wearing a ranger badge lowered his voice, his tone filled with disbelief.
"My goodness, that's the skill we elves are most proud of!"
"Skills? I'm more interested in his feat of defeating the demons! I've read Lostia's battle report; it's said he single-handedly held off an entire demon squad!"
"And that thing called a mold! My uncle lives in Lostia, and he sent word that making arrows will be much easier from now on, and they can be reused multiple times!"
"Really? That's wonderful! May the goddess of nature bless him!"
Listening to the elves' chatter, Lin Mo waved somewhat sheepishly to the crowds on both sides.
These elves were so enthusiastic, showering him with compliments, that he felt quite embarrassed.
"Welcome back, Princess Fendona. We warmly welcome our distinguished guest from afar."
The Queen's voice rang out, like a fine, aged wine, mellow and pleasant, yet carrying a natural air of majesty.
The square fell silent instantly.
Fendona stepped forward and performed a standard elven greeting to the Queen.
"Your Majesty."
Ella smiled and nodded, extending her hand in a gesture of support.
"Fendona, my dear child, you've had a hard time these past few days."
Her voice carried a subtle, almost imperceptible tenderness.
Your parents in heaven will be proud of you.
Fendona lowered her eyes and bowed.
"It is my duty to protect the people of Lostia."
After she finished speaking, she turned around and gestured to Lin Mo to introduce him.
"Your Majesty, this is the traveler from another world that I mentioned to you, Lord Lin Mo."
