Chapter 2152 The Dashavatara (Various) -Part 20

Ress Battlefield was a type of mess that could not be defined by normal standards. The battle was chaotic to the point where the Celestial Armies were having a hard time coordinating.

This was mainly because there were two fronts, both land and air that were happening at the same time. But recently after Avatar Varaha's groundbreaking attacks, it had unknowingly exposed the underground tunnels leading to the civilians.

But to the Celestials, they did not care whether they were merely young children or the elderly. Their orders were strictly followed: To kill every single human on sight. Perhaps in another world, they might have stuck to some principles, killing the children and leaving the elderly to rot in their godforsaken place where it had already been torched.

Sadly, the circumstances changed drastically for them in this world. They had been heavily demoralised by the number of losses they had suffered throughout the entire night. But because of how bright the skies were illuminated, there was no sense of time for both the Celestials and Humans.

The Celestials needed a win no matter how small it was and seeing how they had seen sweaty teenagers carrying supplies from the exposed underground tunnels, they immediately assumed their targets without any mercy. Deaths of these teens occurred indiscriminately and the System alerted the subsequent Rifle Mages, pressing them to protect their civilians.

This unexpected opening caused the Celestials to pour more troops into these complex tunnel networks, hoping to disrupt their networks of supplies so that the Ress Army would not have the capabilities to continue fighting. However, they all did not know that they had a person with a heaven defying System that could overcome any of these shortages if it was necessary for it to make a move.

However, for the moment, the System did not wish to interfere as much as it wanted to and only informed the Rifle Mages who were assigned to counter these threats as per the plans in the event when the Celestials ever found the networks of tunnels the citizens of Ress had been using.

Instead, they were given the directive to react in Lyro Sea Fortress where the fighting was actually the fiercest. Some argued that they would produce results the System had never seen before and requested that the System to take their best for the tunnels incident in order to save the nation's children.

Naturally, the System allowed and when the quick reactionary force reached Lyro through a portal, the best of the best in the reserve forces were also being sent to the tunnels to counterattack against the Celestials.

This meant that Ress was fighting at three fronts. Aerial, Land, and Underground. In the meantime, the two Dashavatara who rushed towards the Royal Castle had been rather successful in breaching against the Rifle Mages defending it. However, Kalki and Parashurama continued, they noticed that the Rifle Mages were not as capable as they thought they would be.

In fact, their shooting skills were not as strong as the ones fighting on the frontlines.

It made them curious whether this was a trap or Vamana, the Cosmic Wanderer was able to buff them to the point where those bullets did not matter. Regardless, the monsters of an Avatar had broken through into the Throne Hall to see Jin sitting at the Throne looking at the various holographic reports that the System had been giving him.

"You are the King of this nation, right?" Kalki asked once and Jin smirked.

"If a Celestial cannot differentiate that when asking me such a question, then I have to query the intelligence of the Celestials as a whole. Perhaps, I had given them too much credit for being a foe that I needed to be careful with." Jin said as he swiped his console screens to the side and laid back on the uncomfortable throne where he had not sat for the longest time ever.

"You are honestly not worth my time."
