Chapter 2206 Clean up of Ress
Chapter 2206 Clean up of Ress
The dissent within the Commando Mages had been quelled. The Celestials were returning to their home plane. Ress was falling into place with the reconstruction efforts with the exception of Lyro since Jin had yet to return to the place because it was the Celestials' temporary dwelling.
Other than that, the entire twist and turns with each of the leaders having their own agendas had been fulfilled. Jin thought he had outsmarted the Celestials but he eventually became their pawn in their own game of chess.
He sat at his office chair for a moment to recollect before working throughout the night, knowing that this was not the end for Ress even though his current agenda had been completed. He had met with the Celestial resistance earlier than expected and crushed them. However, what the King of Ress needs to contend with is to keep Ress in power until they are strong enough to survive by themselves.
If Jin were to leave right here and right now, Ress would still survive but they would be in a hellscape due to the southern kingdoms attempting to take over this weakened magical territory after their fight with the Celestials.
Even the System had advised Jin to continue his responsibility now that they are technically 'out of the wilds'. "The System advised Jin to conquer the lands to the east, and while the Mong Empire and their mindless zombies attempts to prevent the imminent chaos as the South set their eyes to the north."
"So, you are saying not to eliminate our most direct threat because Kraft can control them?" Jin asked and the System acknowledged firmly.
"Affirmative. Interim King Kraft or the Original Bellator wanted to be known as Great King K of Khaos, had stated that he would send his Star Foxes and zombies to ambush the south. The Southern Kingdoms would have to concentrate on fighting those zombies before mounting an attack against Ress."
"The plan seems feasible and the System assume that the standard hunter rotation would also be in place so that the citizens would not go hungry. Or do you wish to increase the hunter's rotations as well?" Read new chapters at empire
"We still have quite a handful of military stockpile from the war with the Celestials. Increase the hunters' rotation telling them we are paying them double and also get them to take from the military stockpile. Inform the Royal General and Logistics department about it." Jin ordered and the System nodded its proverbial head.
"I will work my way to repair Lyro so that the automated systems can start building ships too. That way, we should be able to get some food stock from the sea. Urgh, I should have asked the Demon Octopus to hunt for us too right? I remember seeing how it had so many damn tentacles of serpents. It should be able to get quite a fair bit of food."
"The System agrees with User's conjecture but excessive hunting will bring chaos to the marine ecosystem of Atopia."
"What the heck are you talking about? He is just one octopus and I doubt the exploitation of the seas would be as bad as our modern day home world." Jin said and the System recalculated its risks and benefits.
"It seems the System had used User's homeworld's statistics to work the numbers out. The System apologised for such an error." The System said and subsequently proposed the possible routes the Demon Octopus could take. "In addition to its hunting, the System proposed that the Demon Octopus can also scout for Ress the ideal locations to hurt the southern kingdoms from the back."
"Oh huh. Have they not learned how to see that their world is round?" Jin asked and the System stated that based on the marine data it currently has, the world did not possess such knowledge. Either that or the infestation of the Demons within the sea had made it impossible for them to explore any further.
"I see...Then maybe I might not have to stay in Ress longer than I thought." Jin said thinking that maybe ...perhaps maybe he could end this early.
