Chapter 51: Uncle Ao
Chapter 51: Uncle Ao
"When will you take your braces off?"
"Let's forget about it."
"Oh, when did you get so muscular?"
"Uh... Harry?"
"I get it, I get it, I get it... So how's it like being Spider-Man?"
Faced with Harry's rather sharp questions, Peter felt like he was having a brainstorming session.
He couldn't sense any grief over the death of his loved one from this guy's tone.
So Peter said, "That doesn't matter... Wait!? Your father even told you this!?"
Harry and Peter walked along a road lined with fresh flowers and plants, which smelled faintly sweet.
Harry patted Peter on the shoulder and laughed, "Dude, I haven't even settled the score with you for not telling me you became Spider-Man."
Then Harry suddenly whispered, "Don't worry, right now only I know you're Spider-Man. Of course, there's my dad too, but he's dead now, so only I know right now."
Hearing his good friend's words, Peter couldn't help but rub his temples.
He had considered that Harry might find out Spider-Man's identity someday, but he didn't expect it to happen so soon!
And Peter noticed this guy's reaction...
It didn't seem like the reaction one would have for someone who had lost their father; it was as if... he didn't care at all about his father's death!
Peter said, "Harry, your father is dead."
Harry nodded. "Yes."
This composed demeanor once again left Peter's mind in disarray.
"I mean, your father passed away, and this is your reaction?!"
"So what else do you want from me? To cry for three days and three nights and then hang myself?"
Harry shrugged, quite nonchalantly: "To be honest, his death didn't really affect me much. You know how he treated me growing up."
"Wow, you really are a filial son."
"Peter, that's a bit much. I still love him."
Peter scratched his cheek: "I didn't say anything."
Harry froze. "Who is that?"
"Look to your left."
Hearing this, Harry did as instructed, and as soon as he turned his head, he saw a large black bird looking at him curiously.
"My God! What the hell is this thing?!"
Harry was startled by the sudden appearance of the large black bird, and his heart pounded wildly.
"First of all, if you really don't want your eyes, I can help you donate them, for example, to a bird's eye in some wasteland world."
"Secondly, God, that is, Morgan Freeman, he is my boss, you are talking about me when you say he is, so I have decided not to say the third point."
The crow in front of me stretched out one wing, like a person pointing with their hand.
Harry thought the scene was absurd!
He initially thought he was hallucinating in the church, but it turns out the big black bird really was there!
He then turned to Peter and asked, "Am I mentally unstable, or does it really exist?!"
After he finished speaking, he was slapped on the back of the head.
"Ooh!"
Harry turned and glared at the large black bird:
"It hurts a lot!"
"I'll be firmer next time!"
"You dead bird!"
Just as Oz and Harry were about to fight, Peter rushed forward to break them up, standing between the man and the bird.
"Calm down, calm down, you two."
Peter pointed to Oz, "Its name is Oz, and it's mine—"
"Uncle, you can call me Uncle Oz," Oz interrupted smugly.
Peter rolled his eyes upon hearing this.
"Where did you get this talking crow?"
Harry finally realized that the big black bird was actually a raven!
"That's a long story, I'll tell you when I have time—"
Peter suddenly froze, or rather, he frowned, stopped talking, and began looking around aimlessly.
"Peter?"
Harry didn't understand why his good friend would do this, so he immediately asked with concern.
"Run, Harry, run!"
Peter's spider senses suddenly went off, frantically alerting him that danger was approaching.
But after looking around, he found nothing amiss, and experience told him that it was best to get Harry out of there.
And he finally understood what Oz meant by "So I decided not to say the third point"!
He clearly sensed the danger beforehand!
That dead bird!
Uncle, indeed!
What kind of uncle is he?!
"Run!"
"Harry Osborn!!!"
Peter's shout to shut up and the roar from above sounded almost simultaneously!
Without a second thought, Harry rushed into the church, glancing back as he ran to see Peter still standing there.
Seemingly forgetting Peter's identity as Spider-Man, he shouted anxiously, "Run, Peter! What are you standing there for?!"
The next second, he saw Peter quickly take off his coat and put it over his head, as if using the coat as a mask to cover his face.
Then, from Harry's perspective, Peter flicked his wrist, shooting out a wisp of white spider silk that stuck to a nearby wall.
Like a nimble cat, he leaped high into the air and soared into the sky.
Harry looked up and saw a birdman dressed in a strange green outfit...?!
There was no time to think further; he really wanted to keep watching, but he had already run to one of the church's entrances.
Harry cupped his hands around his mouth: "Be careful, Peter!"
Realizing that shouting like that might expose Peter's identity, he then shouted again:
"Be careful, Spider-Man!"
Then he slapped himself again.
"What am I even saying?! This has completely exposed his identity!?"
As he spoke, he ran into the church.

The vulture realized it had made a foolish mistake: it had spoken up too early!
Damn it, I should have waited until I caught that kid before I yelled!
Lost in thought, he heard a faint sound coming from below.
"Be careful, Spider-Man!"
"A little spider!?"
The vulture was overjoyed; the little spider hadn't died after all!
Then, he felt as if something was tugging at his body.
He looked down and saw a strange creature sticking his flight suit together with spider silk.
Why do I say it's strange?
Because this guy completely covered his face with his coat, only a pair of bright brown eyes could be seen.
The vulture felt that the eyes looked somewhat familiar, but couldn't quite place them.
He tentatively asked, "A spider?"
Peter felt that the suit jacket "mask" on his head was a little loose, and it wasn't tied very tightly.
There was nothing he could do; his previous Spider-Man suit had already said goodbye to him as he retired.
At Gwen's urging, the new Spider Suit was handed over to her to handle, and she was told to make a brand new Spider Suit for her within three days. Then she was told to take a few days off to rest.
As for now?
He could only use his coat as a makeshift spider mask.
Upon hearing the vulture's question, Peter first stuck his entire body to a wall, then clung tightly to a spider web, trying his best to prevent the vulture from flying away.
"it's me."
The vulture asked in confusion, "Little Spider, you're not dead?"
"..."
Peter felt like he must have a lot of black lines on his forehead!
"You're hoping I die, aren't you?!"
"Of course not, I'm just happy for you! I've been looking for you all this time!"
Peter finally remembered something he had forgotten a few days ago: he had forgotten where the little old vulture had gone.
Fortunately, the other person seemed energetic and lively at the moment, which reassured him a lot.
What are you doing here?
Mentioning this matter ignited a nameless fire within the vulture.
"Go find trouble with Norman Osborn! And then avenge you!"
"I'm so grateful for your kind act of revenge!"
The vulture flipped over, hovering in mid-air so it could have a proper face-to-face conversation with the little spider.
"I thought you were killed by Norman, given everything he did to me."
"I definitely won't let him get away with this! Even if he dies, his son will have to pay for it!"
"..."
Peter was at a loss for words. Just as he was about to speak, a gust of wind suddenly blew his already loose suit jacket off.
Then, under the vulture's wide-eyed gaze, his true identity was completely exposed!
"It's you!"
"I'm truly impressed!"
Peter tried to cover his face, thinking, "Can't this guy who calls himself Uncle O do anything?"
Where did you run off to again?!
