Chapter 59: It shouldn't be that difficult
Gwen stepped out of the elevator and into the familiar laboratory.
However, they found the laboratory rather deserted today, with only Oz and Dr. Otto inside.
Dr. Otto seemed to be conducting an experiment, his eyes fixed on a large whiteboard in front of him covered with calculation formulas, and he would occasionally scratch his scalp.
And Oz...
I noticed that Oz was wearing headphones and was sitting in front of the computer, swaying back and forth, seemingly looking at something.
Gwen tiptoed over quietly.
As they got closer, they realized that the computer screen Oz was on was...
High-resolution photos of birds!!!
"What the hell are you looking at, you dead bird?!"
"!!!"
The crow was so frightened that it tried to fly away, but Gwen caught it with one hand in a flash.
"Aha! Got you!"
Oz turned his head sullenly. "What? Is it wrong for me to look at pictures of birds?!"
Gwen chuckled coldly, strongly suspecting Oz was up to no good, but she had no proof.
I noticed that Dr. Otto put down his pen, listlessly found a chair and sat down, staring blankly at the ceiling, seemingly lost in thought.
Regardless, Gwen still greeted them.
Good morning, Dr. Octavius.
"Good morning, Ms. Stacy."
After nodding and greeting each other, Gwen leaned closer to Oz and asked:
"So where did they go?"
"Just tell me where Little Bee is going, no need to beat around the bush."
"I really have to spread the word that you watch porn!"
"Don't!"
Oz pointed to the floor-to-ceiling windows of the laboratory and said, "They're here."
Gwen turned her head to look.
The transparent floor-to-ceiling window slowly opened, revealing a large opening.
then.
From the ground, two heads popped out: Spider-Man and Harry.
Seeing this, Oz whispered, "I feel like there's something off about their friendship, Miss G. You don't want word to get out that your boyfriend is gay, do you?"
Gwen flicked the guy on the head: "Gwen is Gwen, what 'Miss G'!"
She automatically ignored the second half of Oz's sentence.
Ever since she met this dead bird, it has been constantly pushing the boundaries of her understanding of it!
Oz broke free from the grasp of fate and flew quickly to Peter's side, crying out:
"Parker, you really have to stand up for me, Ms. Stacy—wait, a LEGO Millennium Falcon? It's mine!"
After saying that, the raven snatched the Lego box from Harry's hand and flew away.
Harry was getting really anxious. He jumped up and tried to grab it twice, but gave up after failing.
"Dead bird!"
He nodded to Peter's girlfriend Gwen in greeting, then carried his flying skateboard into the innermost part of the laboratory, to where Dr. Otto was.
the other side.
"Wow, Mr. Spider-Man, this outfit is really cool!"
Gwen smiled and waved, teasingly.
Peter took off his mask, stepped forward and kissed the girl lightly, whispering, "I ran into your father on the way."
"What did he say?"
He said the outfit looked great.
"real?"
"real!"
Gwen put her hands behind Peter's neck and laughed, "Don't tell me you're just saying this to fool me!"
"How could I dare?"
Peter leaned forward, so that their noses touched.
Not far away, Harry, who had been forced to watch the dog food (a Chinese slang term for witnessing public displays of affection), had a headache.
Dr. Otto was already inspecting his damaged flying skateboard, while Oz had already grabbed his Lego and flown off somewhere...
And why does he feel like Oz anticipated this scene before flying away?
"I bet you two have plans for Halloween today," Harry said in a low voice, looking at the young couple.
Gwen wriggled out of Peter's arms and asked, "There's a big show on Coney Island tonight, aren't you coming?"
Harry waved his hand: "Sorry... I have to..."
He glanced at his flying skateboard and said, "I have to wait for this thing to be fixed; I have a ton of things to do at the company afterward..."
"Harry?" Peter looked at him and blinked.
After a while.
Harry still refused, laughing, "Please, I'm not joining your private time!"
"I'll wait for your call tonight," Peter said.
"Hey, I never said I agreed..." Harry replied.
However, Peter simply gestured to him, seemingly quite certain that he would call that evening.
Harry smiled helplessly.
In the time that followed, Peter examined Harry to make sure the serum wouldn't have any negative effects on his good friend.
After completing all the checks, Peter called out to the still-open French window:
"Oz, we have to go, unless you don't want to eat today's fries!"
No sooner had he finished speaking than Oz flew in through the window.
Surprisingly, a pre-assembled fighter jet appeared next to him and flew in with him.
"You rascal, I haven't even started assembling it yet, and you've already finished it all?!"
Harry stared wide-eyed at the model fighter jet.
"Oh?"
Oz and the model fighter jet flew into the lab together and landed on the table.
Upon hearing Harry's words, Oz flapped his wings, and the fighter jet model immediately disintegrated, turning back into a pile of small building blocks.
"Then I'll help you change back."
"It wasn't you!"
Harry was furious. "You put it back together, fine! What's the point of taking it all apart again?!"
Seeing this, Peter laughed and said, "Isn't it good to see the finished product? Doesn't that make people even more eager to try?"
Harry felt uneasy when he saw the pile of blocks there.
"That's true, but the problem is, how can it be like this?!"
He rummaged through a pile of building blocks, then looked up and snarled, "Where's the instruction manual?!"
"I threw it away," Oz replied.
Harry was so angry he fainted and slumped into a chair.
"Don't worry, I'll help you finish it." Peter blinked.
"Go enjoy your time together," Harry said, closing his eyes and waving his hand.
"Look at this poor goblin—uhhhh!!!"
The young couple and the dead bird combination eventually parted ways.
Harry and Dr. Otto, who hadn't said much, were left in the laboratory.
Harry lay there for a while, then got up and looked at Otto.
"How is the situation?"
"Can it be fixed before tonight, or do you want to use the one that Toms and I designed before? Although his skills are so-so, that ship is actually not bad."
"No, I prefer the new product."
Harry stood up and declined, saying, "This thing isn't urgent, after all, you were involved in all the prototypes."
Harry noticed Otto's hair and said worriedly, "Otto, you should take a break. You're almost bald."
"I will."
After Peter and the others left, the laboratory, which had been quite lively at the beginning, suddenly became much quieter.
Harry didn't like this atmosphere, but he couldn't control his friends spending 24 hours a day with him.
This is a selfish act.
Harry walked out of the lab; his phone was already ringing with numerous messages from his assistant.
He needs to handle some company business.
Sometimes, being the boss of a company isn't something to be proud of.
As he was leaving, he said to Otto:
Happy Halloween, Otto.
"Halloween is coming soon, Mr. Osborn."
After everyone left, Otto was left all alone in the laboratory.
After mentally estimating the time it would take to repair the flying skateboard, he returned to the whiteboard and quietly considered the feasibility of the miniature reactor.
But sometimes, the more you try to solve a problem, the more likely you are to get stuck in a dead end.
He decided to temporarily give up thinking and let his brain rest.
After glancing at the large pile of building blocks on the table.
Otto activated the mechanical tentacles hidden in the laboratory and began assembling them.
"It shouldn't be that difficult," he said.
