Chapter 76 Marriage
Chapter 76 Marriage
Chapter 76 Marriage
late at night.
The stars twinkled.
In the dimly lit room.
A faint light shone on Peter's delicate face.
He was holding his phone and chatting with his girlfriend, Gwen.
Peter: Did Officer Stacy say anything to you?
Gwen: Officer Stacy?! Isn't that a bit too polite?!
Peter: I'm used to it. (chuckles)
Gwen: ...Okay, he looked a little off when he came back. When we asked him what was wrong, he wouldn't say... He just told us to wait for his message, maybe when he gets off work, or... Anyway, we don't know when, there's no specific time.
Peter: Huh?
Gwen: I don't know what he means, but there's no way I'll let him separate us! Absolutely not!!! (smiles)
Peter: (Thumbs up)
Gwen: So where's Oz? Hasn't that dead bird come back yet?
Peter put down his phone, looked around, and sensed for a while, but still couldn't find Oz.
He picked up his phone again.
Peter: No, but I've gotten used to his elusive style.
Gwen: Yeah... I'm a little sleepy, I'm going to sleep too! Goodnight! (kiss)
Peter: Goodnight (kiss)
After finishing their conversation, Peter turned off his phone, put one arm behind his head, and looked thoughtfully at his room.
Where did Oz go again?
He didn't know, but he had to tell the truth.
At first, you might not be used to this guy suddenly appearing and then suddenly disappearing, but once you get used to it, you'll even find it commonplace.
There's no need to worry about this guy.
After all, he wasn't human; he was a magical crow.
This feeling is like having a dog...
Okay, Peter knows that it's a bit inappropriate to say that, since his relationship with Oz is more like that of friends and partners.
Of course, Peter believed it was just a metaphor and never meant Oz to be a dog.
If, Peter means if, Oz was his dog.
You might initially worry that he'll run around and disappear, and that when he reappears, you'll inevitably scold him.
But once you get used to it, once he's familiar with it, he'll go out and play by himself and then come back.
So there's absolutely no need to worry about this guy.
Oh right, he didn't mean Oz was a dog.
Sudden.
A crow appeared out of nowhere and slapped Peter across the face, rendering even his spider-sense ineffective.
"Who are you calling a dog, you brat?!"
"Ouch! That hurts!"
Peter covered his face and muttered, "But you're really wicked! What kind of logic is that to give Gwen Spider powers?!"
Oz crossed his arms and hummed, "What's wrong? I was just worried you'd be too lonely by yourself."
"
Peter chuckled twice.
Oz leaned close to Peter's ear and whispered, "I have a question for you."
"What?"
"Do you want to marry Gwen?"
"?!!"
Peter turned his head away instantly, his face turning red.
"I......
'
Oz tilted his head. "Don't tell me you don't want to! I hate minotaurs!"
Peter stammered softly, "Of course I've thought about it... but I'm only seventeen now..."
'
"That's good."
Oz rubbed his wings back and forth like a fly rubbing its hands, looking extremely irritating, as if he was plotting something bad.
Peter knew this guy's movements all too well. Although they hadn't known each other for very long, he had figured out many of Oz's habits!
So he asked, "What have you done now?!"
Oz did not respond immediately.
Peter watched as the crow hopped in one breath onto a charming little cabin above his pillow.
That was Oz's own little house, which supposedly contained several diamonds.
However, Peter never reached in to take it, so he didn't know if it was real or not.
Then Crow popped its head out, winked at Peter, and said, "I've solved your future marriage problem. Gwen's dad definitely won't look down on you."
"You?!" Peter tilted his head back, his tone filled with disbelief.
"What have you done now?!" Peter continued to press.
Oz pulled his head back, went into his hut, and mumbled, "Nothing happened. You'll find out tomorrow. Anyway, he definitely won't interfere with your marriage anymore. Uncle Oz has solved the biggest problem. Aren't you going to thank Uncle Oz?!"
"6
'
Peter called out to Oz a few more times, and when there was no response, he got out of bed and looked toward his little hut.
The crow had already covered itself with its little blanket and fallen asleep, the bubbling above its beak sometimes large and sometimes small.
Peter looked somewhat helpless, and the next second after pulling his head back, he peeked back out again.
There really are diamonds...
Peter then went back to bed, ready to sleep.
"We'll find out tomorrow?"
Before going to sleep, Peter pondered many things, including whether Oz had also given Officer Stacy spider abilities.
But then I thought, given Officer Stacy's personality, she probably wouldn't accept it, right?
I think... right?
It was still late at night.
The master bedroom of the Stacy family.
Helen Stacy and her husband George have been married for almost twenty years.
From the birth of the girl Gwen at the beginning to the appearance of several little boys later on, it is enough to prove that the feelings between them are deep.
But since George became a senior police inspector, Helen has not been intimate with him for a long time.
She wanted to, but her husband was always busy, so she had to give up.
You can't just force yourself on her, can you?
Anyway, she was quite certain that her husband would say it.
So tired, honey, we have to get up early to patrol the streets tomorrow.
crunch—
The door was pushed open.
Upon smelling that familiar bath scent, Helen knew her husband had returned.
But she's a little sleepy now and doesn't really want to get up.
Sizzle—
The mattress sank slightly.
It was the sound of her husband getting into bed.
A few seconds later, the bedsheets were gently tugged.
Another ten seconds or so passed.
Helen suddenly opened her eyes.
Because her husband's hand was on her lower back and remained there for more than ten seconds!
At first, she thought her husband was trying to let her know he was back, so he leaned over and kissed her cheek, then let go a few seconds later, because that's what he always did.
But today...
whee!
Helen rolled over.
"Hey, no—"
"You should have said so earlier, darling..."
'
In the darkness, two figures huddled together, whispering softly.
"Wait—Helen!"
"Stop talking nonsense!"
"No! I didn't do that... Please listen to me!"
"When did you get so strong?!"
'
Running around all day will definitely build muscle...
"Yeah?"
"Yes...the children are all asleep! Come again tomorrow..."
'
Don't even think about it!
About an hour later.
After watching his wife fall asleep with a contented expression, George rubbed his lower back and leaned against the headboard.
Damn it, I've really lost my mind.
Why bother with that crow?!
