a week had passed since ethan repaired luna's magic circuits.

when everyone in the academy found out that luna could now use moon magic outside the night of the full moon, the majority of them-especially her friends, were truly happy for her.

some even inquired how it happened.

she only told them that ethan had discovered a special potion in the treasury of atlantis. this potion repaired her magic circuits, allowing her to use moon magic without any problems. naturally, some of the duds, who heard about this potion, asked ethan if he still had more. sadly, the potion didn't exist to begin with, but ethan couldn't tell them this, knowing it would lead to more questions.

so, he said that the potion was unique, and there was only one of its kind in the treasury. even the means to concoct it were not known, so he didn't know how to produce more.

although they were disappointed, they believed that such a miraculous potion was indeed extremely rare and very hard to find.

as the days passed, ethan regularly went to his classes, just like any ordinary student in the academy did.

at the moment, the most popular professor in the academy was indisputably professor godfrey.

even ethan had to admit that the vampire lord's lessons were very interesting and entertaining.

godfrey and princess ariel would often spend time with each other, strolling around the academy and, at times, even going out on dates.

"godfrey is sly and a schemer too," ethan commented. "maybe they realized that they have many things in common and hit it off?"

a giggle escaped illumina's lips because this was indeed very possible.

"well, if they ever became a couple, then i'll be happy for the two of them," illumina stated. "everyone wants to find that special someone, and although both of them have probably had their share of relationships in the past, they might not have found mr. and mrs. right."

for a brief moment, ethan thought that illumina was going to say mr. ghost. only baradiel and nicole used this nickname, and usually, they would only use it in private.

"a month..." ethan felt a bit sad after hearing this news.

samantha nodded. "of course, she can stay for a bit longer. according to my calculation, a month and a half is still fine. but in order to prevent any rumors and complications, she decided to leave earlier."

"understood." ethan sighed. "thank you for always being there for her."

"i also feel sad because i won't be there when she gives birth," samantha, who had already formed a close relationship with lily and chloe, said sadly.

ethan's cousin, who was also at jaeger manor, was keeping close watch to lily's condition as well, and would always be there whenever samantha did her regular check up.

chloe was also the one that pushed back her trip with ethan to the ancient ruins of the firbolg so that he could spend more time with lily before she returned to southshire.

"did she already inform her parents?" ethan inquired.

"before i left, she was already writing a letter to her father," samantha answered. "i also passed the message of her decision on to lyall and conall. i'm sure her mother will also know about her decision very soon."

illumina sighed internally because she also wanted to hold ethan's first child. although she would eventually give birth to ethan's children, she had decided long ago that she would treat all of ethan's children as her own as well.

this was similar to how leah, lily's mother, treated lyall and conall as her own children.

the three then talked about a few more random things before samantha took the initiative to invite ethan to go on a date with her that weekend.

princess about it.

a sigh escaped ethan's lips before he finally asked the question that had been nagging at him
