Chapter 1105 Words Of Wisdom From A Love Expert [Part 2]
Zeus kept on giving Ethan advice on love until he finished everything on his list.
When the young man thought that everything was over, the handsome man chuckled and made a declaration.
"Now that I've told you how to become an expert in love, I will now tell you how to become an interesting ruler," Zeus said before patting his chest with confidence. "Trust me, the words of wisdom I will impart to you will come in handy in the future." Continue reading stories on My Virtual Library Empire
Ethan, who just wanted to get it over with, nodded and allowed the handsome man to give him some new pointers in life.
"You told me you have many lovers, so this advice will truly be helpful to you. Listen..." Zeus smirked. "If caught, deny everything. Make sure you always have a plan B. So, when things go south, just skate out."
The young man made a mental note to never follow this advice. He and his lovers had a special bond, and he would not do anything to make them sad.
"Control your narrative," Zeus stated in a serious tone. "Let your story be told the way you want it. There are many legends about me. Some call me the God of Thunder, while others call me the Great Lover. Whether you become a Hero or a Villain, the narrative you dictate to people will become part of your Epic."
In this regard, the young man nodded in agreement. His Grandfather, the former Demon Lord Balthazar, was painted as the greatest enemy of the world. However, it was also his grandfather who stood at the frontlines of the Lands of Saraqael, protecting Midgard despite his infamy.
"Thunderstorms make great entrances." Zeus chuckled. "Nothing says 'I'm here' better than thunder and lightning."
Ethan pretended to not hear this piece of advice. He felt that it would not take long for people to be annoyed if he made this kind of entrance each time.
"Host feasts, but let others pay for them." Zeus chuckled. "Generosity is best when it costs you nothing."@@@@
At this point, the young man didn't know if Zeus was just trolling him or not. If he were to really do such a thing, his lovers would die of embarrassment and would definitely not let him hear the end of it.
The handsome man then gave him more advice, each of them making Ethan wish that he could just jump off Mount Olympus, and end everything.
Unfortunately, he seemed to be stuck on the boulder, and unable to leave even if he wanted to.
"And this is my final advice for you." Zeus said, which made Ethan sigh internally. "If all else fails, blame it on the Fates. Why? Because destiny can't be argued with."
"Even I was unable to defy my Fate despite being very powerful. And yet, this child you are looking at doesn't wish to merely defy Fate, but defeat her."
Ethan's eyes widened in shock after hearing Zeus' words. "Defeat Fate? Is that even possible?"
"No one knows if it's possible or not. No one has managed to do it," Zeus replied. "But have you heard of this saying? There's a first time for everything. And if there's someone who can defeat Fate, I'm guessing that he might be the one."
Zeus then stood up and walked behind Ethan.
"Perhaps, you, too, have the power to change your Fate," Zeus stated. "You might not be able to defeat or defy Fate, but altering the course of your destiny is still possible. So, remember the things that I told you and live a good life.
"For there are others like me, who are not able to move on and regret decisions that we have made in the past."
Zeus then gave the young man a slight push, freeing him from the hold of the boulder, and making him fall into the mortal realm.
Ethan looked back at the handsome man, as he fell from the mountain of Olympus.
"Your people have this parting saying, which I will also give to you."
Zeus' words reached Ethan's ears as a portal of light appeared below the falling young man.
"May your troubles be less, and your blessings be more," Zeus said. "And may nothing but happiness come through your door. Make sure to love and live to the fullest. The world is yours, so claim it the boldest!"
At that moment in time, Ethan felt a sadness that he didn't expect he would feel as he parted with Zeus, who stood alone at the top of Mount Olympus.
For some reason, he believed that if he made the wrong choices, he would end up just like him, which was probably the reason why the two of them were brought together, even if it was only for a brief moment.
'Thank you for the lessons,' Ethan thought as his consciousness entered the portal that would send him back to his body. 'I'll make sure to live my life to the fullest.'
A laughter that sounded sad and bitter at the same time, spread across Olympus as the once powerful God, who had taken everything for granted, stood alone and was only remembered through the annals of history.
